Growing up in Baltimore, Maryland, Lisa always wanted to help cook in the kitchen. Desiring to create and try new dishes, cooking became her hobby calling it "therapeutic". Fast forward to Lisa's adult years, she decided she wanted to own her own restaurant. "I get full enjoyment out of seeing people enjoy my food," says Walker.
In 2014, Lisa started the process to pursue her dream, eventually partnering with her brother, Brian, and created Blue Crab Shack ATL, LLC with two locations in Atlanta, GA and Nashville, TN.
